BRP Video.com was founded by Blake Rennie of Mission Viejo, Ca.
in 2001. Blake graduated Mission Viejo High School in 1995 with
accolades in video production. In 1995 Blake won the "Spirit of the
Diablo" award for video production with his documentary/action sports
video "FWR". Blake also attended video production classes at Saddleback
Community College. Furthering his education Blake enroled in Learning
Tree University with a course load of fundamentals for video production
for film, multimedia and the web and fundamentals of digital
videography. While attending school Blake lived part time in Big Bear,
Ca. pursuing snowboarding interests. In this time he made many contacts
with amatuer and professional snowboarders, which naturally led to
Blake filming these riders and selling shots to companies that
sponsored these riders. Quickly Blake became the best cameraman to ride
with the camera at full speed off jumps following fast riders. Many
local riders sought after him to shoot because of his ability to shoot
fast moving action and he was more than affordable.
In 2001 Blake began to offer his services to friends and family, this was the start of BRP. For five years Blake ran BRP as a side business continuing to work other jobs and perfect his production skills until he was ready to launch BRP as a full scale production studio.
From 2007 to 2009 blake was the primary editor and camera man for the artist Wyland. Blake produced several full length documentaris for Wyland including "Artist of the Sea, "Visions of the sea", Ocean Planet", a 3 season 39 episode TV series for PBS television titled "Wylands Art Studio" filmed on location in Florida and Ca. In July 2008 Wyland invited Blake to join him in Beijing China for the completion of his 100th Whaling Wall, a giant public mural in downtown Bejing, it was an official Olympic Curtural event. Blake spent 28 days in China filming everything from the long hours painting to Wyland's birthday dinner and sake in Beijing's fine diners.
